Since 2006, we’ve been creating the most beautiful mixed media animations from our wide range of visual styles. From stop motion to motion design, and from film to character design, we effortlessly combine all disciplines into unique videos that bring stories to life.

What do you do with AI? We primarily use AI tools in our workflow to work more efficiently. Visually, we also incorporate elements generated with AI into our style mix. It’s sometimes part of the final creation, but never a replacement for it. We do this deliberately to create the most unique visual expressions possible.
Our custom-made mixed media animations cannot be replicated using AI alone. We always enjoy working with the latest techniques, but we don’t use AI just for the sake of using AI.
At Animate the World, we like to work as efficiently as possible. We handle our work so you can focus on yours. That’s why we’ve optimized our approach to take up as little of your time as possible. With just 3 feedback rounds, we deliver your animated story perfectly polished and ready to go.
Because visuals and spoken text reinforce each other, we often work with voice-overs. In an initial meeting, we discuss the content of the animation. Together, we answer the key question for your audience: “What’s in it for me?” This core message is then crafted into a script of approximately 150 words, with the tone of voice tailored to your audience. We also determine which voice actor best fits your message, providing a shortlist of 2 or 3 actors for you to choose from.
Once the script is complete, we send it to you for feedback. When you approve the script and indicate your preferred voice actor, we move on to the concept phase.
Our storyboard artist now starts working on the storyboard for your film, using the script as a guide. For each line, they determine how it will be visualized. It takes the form of a comic-like sequence of sketched black-and-white drawings.
1 or 2 of these sketches are then developed into the final, unique style we have in mind. The visual language is defined, and any characters are fully developed. Of course, we also take your brand identity into account. This look & feel gives you a clear idea of how the animation will appear.
Once we have developed the storyboard and the look & feel, we send it to you for review. Your feedback is incorporated, and once you approve, we move on to the production of the animation.
We start by creating the visuals. We illustrate, design, photograph, and film everything we want to bring to the screen. Then comes the animation, where we bring it all to life. How we do this depends on the animation style. For stop motion, we take a series of photos, moving the object slightly each time to create motion.
During animation and editing, we perfectly time the visuals to the voice-over. We then create or select suitable music and sound effects. Finally, we surprise you with a polished end result.
Of course, we’re eager to hear your thoughts on the first version. Your feedback is incorporated so we can deliver the final version. If any changes are needed that fall outside the approved storyboard, this may incur additional work. We always discuss the options with you in such cases.
For over 10 years, we’ve increasingly incorporated film into our mixed media animation projects. After logging the famous 10,000 hours of filmmaking, we decided to launch a sister company alongside Animate the World — fully dedicated to film productions.
